6 years and counting

It's our 6th wedding anniversary today. Another 6 and I'll be eligible for parole.

A new BBQ and books for me, and you can't go wrong with Diamonds for Deb. David Keefe looked after me again.

Deb is off to her Baradene re-union tonight. Bob & Angela and I are baby-sitting.

Tomorrow is swimming and the Parent & Child show.

So, I filled out the help form with Live Spaces about the loss of formatting and got the response that it is optimised to work with Internet Explorer. What a surprise. So I have downloaded Firefox and the problem seems to be solved.

Not much of note. Still trying to find a way to upload photos. I might have to migrate the site to a Mac based one.

Testing Word and a little more info

OK. I’ll use Word for this one. Elise’s spatial awareness is obviously improving she now turns a book over when something appears upside-down. It is quite hilarious as she then realises that the opposing page is then wrong. It’s like confusing an Irishman by writing P.T.O. on both sides of a note.

There is the link too, as it didn’t recognise it in the previous post. Let’s see how this goes….

Shooting Stars

Well, Elise has graduated from Baby beans to Shooting Stars (more like Monkey antics). She has evolved her love of climbing on things to utilising Dad's comfy physique as superb foot-holds and then standing on his shoulders and sitting on his head whilst I sit on the couch. Still coming to grips with where the iMac hides it files. The photos are easy to find, but to attach them to a mail is still a Mystery to me. I'm having massive fun with the iPod Touch, there are so many cool things on the iTunes site. I've just found the iTunesU portion, where the American universities have papers and talks on many subjects. The Man Show, National Geographic, A1GP and F1 information. So, I 've blown out our 3Gb limit. Apple are releasing a new version of OS X called Leopard. It looks fantastic. I can't wait for this upgrade. http://www.apple.com/macosx/guidedtour/large.html Sorry about the lack of paragraphing, the Mac removes it for some reason. I might have to try typing an entry in Word and copying it in. Tha's all I can think of, I'm sure there is more. Ciao

And the World Cup goes too....South Africa

Well, at least I don't have to buy Elise an English Rugby jersey. I'm sure we'll get to hear plenty of Louis Luyt rhetoric.

Another title!

Mum has just won another Nationals (I have no idea how many that is now). I really must get her to list them all. Well done Mum. You looked great again. And to top the day off. Auckland have nailed the NPC and the first undefeated run since 1990 (when Auckland did it again) and the Ranfurly Shield.

NZFBB Nationals

Well, Elise has now attended her first bodybuilding competition. We got up and went to AGGS to watch Mum in the day show for the NZFBB Nationals. We got to see the O35 Masters women and Mum's class O45 Masters women. Both classes were very competitive. I think that Mum should win her class, although there is strong competition from 2 other women in the class. I guess we'll find out tonight. We stopped and bought Elise a kite to fly on the way home too. So hopefully we'll get an opportunity to go and fly it today. Off to get a new microwave now, the old one is not heating properly. Go England! (only because, they're slightly less offensive than having the South African's win), and because Deb would kill me if I didn't support the Pom's!

Congratulations

Congratulations to Prue, Nigel and Taylor on the safe arrival of Georgia on the 12th, 3.86kg. A lovely little girl. Congratulations to Clam on his engagement too. Bob & Angela cam eup for a night on Friday and are back in the Mount now. I'm off to walk Molly and then go and collect Murray from the airport. He's staying here for the week. I still haven't figured out how to find the pictures on the iMac to upload. As soon as I do, they'll appear again. It is an awesome machine. The iPod Tiouch is great too. I'm enjoying watching podcasts of the 'Man Show'. Deb is very happy again after todays win by England. Ciao

A split decision

Well one of us is very happy and the other is stunned. Deb has been proudly wearing her English rugby jersey or anything with a Union Jack on it. Me, I'm speachless. Elise, well the result didn't seem to ruin her day, so I guess it's not really that important in the grand scheme of things. Maybe the Fijian's can win too and make this the most unpredictable World Cup ever.

Congratulations x 2

Congratulations to Mum for winning the Central North Island Bodybuilding champs over the week-end. Masters class. Missed out on the overall. Now qualified for the Nationals in Auckland on the 20th.

And secondly to Paula, Matt & Alissa on the arrival of Aliyah on the 25th of September at an unsociable hour.

I've started work, so have access to my e-mail again.

The girls are coming home from the Mount tomorrow. It's very quiet in the house without them. Molly has been keeping me company.

Still waiting on Apple to deliver an Imac. Have got an ADSL2 modem ready for when they speed up the network.

Ciao, Cain
