    Unemployed again

    Well, for the weekend anyway.

Yesterday we had our regular Boys night at the pub. It was like a pornstar convention. The end of Movember will leave a number of people looking less like deviants.

Tomorrow, I have somehow been roped into assisting with the Combat Challenge, the kids version. Hopefully, I'll get some footage to post.

    See you.

    Going to the "Dark side"

Well, as the cat is out of the bag.

I have accepted a role as National Sales Manager for Scott Health & Safety. Part of the Tyco group and competitor to Draeger. It was an offer too good to refuse and even better, that I was sought for the position.

So, I start there next week. I'm looking forward to it. I get the previous guys Ford Territory. Never driven one, so I'm looking forward to having that for a year too. The Subaru was a great little car. I'd actually consider spending my own money on an Outback.

Anyway, that's it. I'll post photos of the Combat Challenge over the week-end all going well.

    Toughest 2 minutes in sport!

And Scott sponsor this event off-shore. And hopefully here in the very near future.

    One month to go

Well, one month until Christmas. Deb is hanging out until the 1st, when she starts to put her tree up. I'd better warn Genesis to put E3P on standby to cover the operation of it.

I need to get the video of Elise out of the camera and youtube it. She is climbing up and down the outside of the security door.

A few of the Bimmersporter's and BMW car club members went to Jock's funeral. He was an amazing guy. Given less than 30% chance of coming out of some of his operations. His attitude was "you'd buy a Lotto ticket, if they gave you those odds".  His family and friends had graffiti his white coffin with comments. Only Jock would pull a stunt like that.

Not much else I can think of. Carol arrives on Christmas day. Clam is coming home sometime next month too. Looking forward to seeing both of them again soon.

    My shortest employment (I think)

Well, I have just been head-hunted and made an offer I can't refuse. So I have had the displeasure of having to go to CH New Zealand and letting them know that I am off. It is a bit of a shame as it would have been a really good job and fun. So, I finish up next Friday and start on the 3rd Dec in the new job.

National Sales Manager for .... Well, you'll have to wait until then.

Keep well. Elise is feeling better now. I am about to start training for the next Skytower climb.

    Ciao

    Bye Jock. RIP

Well, Jock passed away yesterday afternoon with his family. Our condolences to them. He was a great guy. I guess, 40 is young, but the fact he'd been fighting Cancer since he was 12, it's a pretty good run.

He will be sadly missed. A ray of light at the BMW events and had such a positive outlook on things.

One of his favourite videos (that he took).

    RIP Jock!

    Best wishes to Jock

Firstly, our hopes stay with Jock and his family, it looks like he may finally lose out to Cancer. Fingers crossed. We met him through the BMW car club and has always had a positive outlook. He's a bloody great guy.

Today's BMW 25th anniversary was a great day and an awesome drive.

For those who are parents, I thought you might like this video.

    Mid-month update

Well, our young alpine trainee is climbing into her cot now (and anything else), up the railings on the porch.

Not much of note has been happening, a scare on Thursday. Elise went to bed on Wednesday night with a bit of a temperature and woke with a radioactive temp. So Deb took her to the Doctor, she was presenting no symptoms otherwise. So they were sent home to see if she'd cool (if not, back at 4pm). She just wanted to sleep and cuddle which is abnormal. 4pm came and went, sent to Starship. Elise didn't want to be weighed, measured or anything at Triage. The nurses came and collected us, as they wanted to check for a UTI, didn't trust that the urine sample we had wasn't contaminated. So a catheter was the plan. The nurse said they could handle it. Haha, they had no idea. Elise tried ripping her finger off and kicking them to death. So three of us held her down while the remaining nurse ran the catheter. In and out before Deb realised (as Elise was still bucking like a bull). Back to the waiting room for the results. An hour and a half later, the Doctor came and had a chat. Nothing in the results, sore throat (could well be from the screaming). So we got sent home. Bob and Angela had driven up and are her for the week-end.

I spent this morning watching Mr. Potatohead wash the BMW at Car-fe. Deb had some book thing (something from the Parent & Child show). Then I went over to see Scottie and a few Fire-fighters training for the Combat challenge.

BMW car club 25th anniversary is tomorrow. A 'Show and Shine' in the morning and a tiki-tour around Auckland in the afternoon.

    Photos are here.

    We may migrate to this.

    Summer might be coming!

We hope you are all well.

    Happy Birthday Mandy

We were invited to Andy, Mandy & Jackson's yesterday to celebrate Mandy's birthday. Happy Birthday Mandy! Jackson is looking great and getting so much bigger. Sitting up and watching everyone wander by. Bear showed up too. We haven't seen him for years.

Elise is now saying various words (not associated correctly). All colours are Blue or Yellow at the moment. She got up out of my lap the other day when we got to X in the ABC book that had a picture of a Xylophone and went and showed me the one on her activity block. Even though we'd never really called it that before.

Anyway, it's time to walk Molly and her down to the park/cafe. Have a great week-end.
