    An overdue update

Well, this month has been very busy. I've been all over the place.

Swimming has started again and Elise had a good time and actually ran & jumped (previously, ran & fell) off the floating board for the first times. On that front, we have had a superb summer (you can hear the farmers whining about a drought), so one Sunday, we shot down to the Parnell baths to cool off. It was packed and Elise didn't want to go in initially, but she jumped in and had a great time. She didn't seem to think that the salt water was so tasty though.

Mum had me out test riding scooters for her (trying to save fuel). The first one was a smoky beast and she'd have thrown it into a ditch after a day or so. The second scooter was much better (and faster), so she bought it. Don't ask me what type, I think it is Yellow. 50cc and it's been de-limited to make it a little faster.

Bob and Angela came up last week-end for a visit. Angela is coming up on Thursday and then the girls are going down there next week, while I go traveling again.

Elise, is a nut. She is now climbing up on the beds and stacking the pillows in a pile and then leaping into them. Most entertaining (to her anyway). It is good fun though, I've had a few goes too. Running around the lounge and bumping into the couches with her puku and shouting "bump" and then running across the lounge and into another couch "bump".  Again, she enjoys it.

She is now starting to gabble like a parrot. She does mimic you, if I call for Debbie, I've had a couple of "Debbie" repeated back to me. Pease (please) & Tank yo (thank you) are starting to come when you suggest them. But, she has now mastered many words, plane, house, hat, kitty, rocket, bed, out (usually said very forcefully), spider (yuck, said straight after, thanks to Mum), wash (hasn't got washing yet), shower, bath. There are shed loads more, I need to write them down as she talks to me one day.

Everything is going well, Molly has been to the vet about 6 times in the last 2 weeks and had a shoulder operated on to remove something (rose thorns we think) after chasing the cat. So she has a big 7 cm scar on her left shoulder. Elise didn't understand why she couldn't snuggle her woo-woo. But Molly has been very tolerant again. She is now back to normal (well, nearly), but is running freely and having a lark at the park with her friends.

    Loving the job, Keep well.
