Dr. Juice

Well, that's Elise's attempt at Dr. Seuss. I think he is definitely her favourite author (we'll get her to Roald Dahl sometime). Read the book is a very common sentence that comes from her. We are constantly amazed at her comprehension and propensity to regurgitate information. I can see that Deb and I will need to go back to school to keep up with her!

She is liking 10 apples up on top and a tell the time book currently.

We went to our God sons 2nd birthday the other day. Happy Birthday Rome! and caught up with all the Baradene girls and Deb got to meet Mika.

Swimming the other day went well, she is starting to float freely and is accepting that floating on her back is OK too. And she gets to sing T(w)inkle, t(w)inkle little star while she does it.

I'm off to Wellington tomorrow, I spent the day at Mystery Creek at Field Days today. Angela is coming up to baby-sit tomorrow as Deb is catching up with Saran while she is over from Australia.

Work is great, we hope you are well.

Gabbling girl and Gannets

Well, yesterday we headed out west to Muriwai Beach to look at the Gannets. However, they migrate (crap internet information) and were in Australia. They nest out there between October and January so we are now told. Anyway, it was a lovely day and a nice drive out there. Elise woke up and we got to have a quick run around on the beach before heading back to Carriages Cafe in Kumeu for lunch.

Congratulations to Kylie and Derek on the arrival of a little girl, Adison the other day. I believe both of them are well.

Our little cherub has obviously got the Chapman gift of the gab and is non-stop talking about anything and everything. Deb has taught her some more shapes (to go with her Paddington stacker tower). She can recognise and say circle, triangle, square, oval, rectangle (that's not perfect), star, snail (not really a shape at all, and it does look like one), penta(gon), octa(gon) and diamond (Deb's favourite). She is looking at the lights while we drive and get the "all red" and "all green" calls from the back seat. Once they go green, "Go, go go!" is often heard (thanks to Dr. Seuss). Counting is getting better too. We can sometimes get to 10, frequently get to 8 and the remainder of the time she sounds like a Lotto draw.

That's all. Keep well.
